Starting Your Sports Career
It’s best to start with a character that has naturally high athleticism stat. You can tell this from events like getting in trouble for throwing things too hard as a kid.
Once you reach middle school, choose your favorite sport you want to play and Join the school’s sports club by maintaining below key points:
- Work hard to keep your performance up each year
- Study diligently to avoid getting kicked off the team for poor grades
- Supplement your athleticism by going to the gym and practicing martial arts
While still in high school, continue playing for the school team and maintaining your stats.
When your character turns 18, you may get offers for an athletic scholarship or to sign with a professional team. Accept the team offer to start your pro career! At the beginning your skills will be low, but you can train and improve them over the years.
If you don’t receive any offers, you can still pursue a pro sports career by checking the Special Careers job options but overall it will be harder to get in without being recruited.

- Once your character turns 12, start going to the gym every year to further boost their athleticism stat.
Join High School Sports Teams
- When your character reaches high school, try out for the sports teams. This will finally reveal their athleticism stat.
- Continue practicing the sports every year while your virtual character is in high school to keep improving athleticism score.
With BitLife God mode you are also able to change and modify the names of the teams
Consider Going to University
After graduating from high school, you have two options:

- Go to university and potentially get drafted
Join a Professional Team
- Whether you go pro straight from high school or get drafted from university, the next step is joining a professional team.
- Once on the team, make sure to practice and train each year to keep improving your skills.
Become a Superstar Athlete
- If you keep playing well and your team is successful, you’ll eventually unlock the “Greatness” stat.
- Continuing to practice and perform at a high level will boost this Greatness stat, making your character a true superstar athlete.
Shady Tactics
As a pro athlete in BitLife, you can try some risky tactics to boost your performance:
Doping: Use performance enhancing drugs/medicines to increase your “Greatness” in the life simulation game. But if caught in a random drug test, you’ll face a 5-year ban.
Match-Fixing: Take a bribe to intentionally play poorly so another team can win. The money is tempting, but you risk being banned from the league if caught.
Although these shortcuts come with major consequences It’s best to focus on training hard, maintaining good grades, and performing your best.
